Forging process where the workpiece is gradually pushed out by a rotating die against a rotating anvil. Beskrivning The process A heated workpiece is placed in the anvil depression after which the die is placed over it, during rotation synchronized with the anvil the workpiece is pressed at an angle. Both the die and the anvil can be formed to shape the desired detail. Only a portion of the workpiece is pressed at any given moment so this makes the required press force considerably lower than for axial compression. The method is similar to orbital forging where the die and the form does not rotate but is executed with an oscillating die. Orbital forging Forging process where the workpiece is placed in a permanent form and processed using the pressure of a slanted and oscillating die. Read more Rotary forging Process films
